The dream of IMR was born back in 2009 when Mats Sundin decided to hang up his hockey helmet. He wanted to use his experience to tackle one of our greatest public health challenges – the lack of physical activity.

Ten years later, the dream became a reality. Together with training adviser Leif Larsson, Mats founded IMR – Institutet för Människor i Rörelse (the Institute for People in Motion). Using methods from competitive sport and support from some of Sweden’s leading researchers, they developed a tool to reduce presenteeism and sick leave in the workplace.

Today, IMR is a leading provider of evidence-based, measurable support for workplaces. Together, we create sustainable organisations with productive, healthy employees, while making a real difference to public health.
